Volunteering is a fun and rewarding way to be involved and engaged with your community. You'll have a great time serving others and learning more about the world around you. Current volunteers can login to their accounts here.

Adult Volunteers

Thanks for your interest in becoming a Thanksgiving Point Volunteer! Volunteers play an integral part at Thanksgiving Point by:

  • Helping guests learn about our different venues and how they connect to the natural world
  • Assisting with the delivery of educational programs
  • Staffing special events
  • Helping with cooking and arts classes
  • Assisting various departments through clerical opportunities

We accept applications from volunteer candidates age 18 years and older on a quarterly basis. All volunteer applicants will be invited and are required to participate in an open orientation before they are eligible to be interviewed. Applicants who fail to attend the orientation will have their applications denied and are subject to a one year waiting period before they can re-apply. Register to volunteer here.

The mission of Thanksgiving Point is to provide transformative family learning. Educational advancement through internships is one of these opportunities. Thanksgiving Point is home to the Museum of Ancient Life, the 55-acre Ashton Gardens, an actual working Farm Country, and the family science Museum of Natural Curiosity. We also host educational classes that range from culinary arts, to horticultural design and agriculture, to science and business.

 Apply for an internship here.

4-H Growing Leaders

Growing Leaders are teen volunteers at Thanksgiving Point. Enrolled in 4-H, club members have opportunities to learn, serve, and grow. Growing Leaders are encouraged and supported in their individual interests and passions. With multiple museums, classes, and events going on throughout the year, there are so many ways to get involved. Growing Leaders mentor children as summer camp counselors, help run events, take care of the gardens, and other duties based on their interests. For more information, email growingleaders@thanksgivingpoint.org

Applications are processed at the beginning of every month. You can expect a response by the second Tuesday of the month. We're excited for you to come join our team!
